White Fillings

Composite resin fillings, colloquially known as ‘white fillings’ are a mixture of glass and tooth-coloured materials used for aesthetic dental restorations. Filling dental cavities, root canals and restoring broken, chipped or worn down teeth, are common requirements for fillings.

White fillings offer patients superior benefits, in comparison to traditional black amalgam fillings. The biggest advantage is the ability to colour match white fillings to the natural colour of existing teeth. This means onlookers can’t tell your tooth has even been filled when you’re talking or laughing. Secondly, white fillings are directly bonded to teeth, providing increased support to the remaining tooth structure.
